Home for Thanksgiving

Last night, my four best friends and I reunited at the Cheney's house for a potluck dinner! It was SO good to see everyone again and catch up with all our experiences in college so far. Some interesting roommate stories were certainly a highlight of the night. Laughing together and being with one another again was such a great feeling.

Ashlyn's House!

This past weekend, I had the chance to go home with my roommate, Ashlyn and visit her family! The purpose for going home with her primarily was to go to this event called the Carolina Christmas Show, in Raleigh. It is held in a big convention center and holds approximately 200 vendors that came and sold items of all kinds. From jewelry to chocolate covered peanuts, to mops and ornaments to monogrammed items, this event was a blast!! A great way to knock out some Christmas gifts, thats for sure!!! :) We ended up spending 3 1/2 hours walking around and checking it all out. Over my fall break, my parents and I took our church photo for WHPC. It was nice getting the opportunity to get it taken after so many years since our last one, as well as spending time together for it! Here are the three we purchased! The one of all 3 of us will be seen in the Church Directory.

Basketball game!

First basketball game of the season, a few girls and I attended, and it was so much fun! While it was just an exhibition game, it still was fun going to watch the team play and see what its all about! Definitely different than the usual football games, but nevertheless super fun!

Ashlyn as Sarah Palin for Halloween!

The Friday before Halloween, Ashlyn went to a Campus Crusade for Christ Halloween Dance Party and dressed up as Sarah Palin. I helped her get ready and made a flag for her. I thought she looked pretty cute and quite like Sarah herself! :) Here is a photo~

Halloween Decorations!

For a halloween package, I received some Halloween Candy Corn lights! I put them up just last night and they look sooooo cute! Great way to start celebrating the holiday! Outside our door, Ashlyn bought some Halloween streamers!

Fall Break in Austin, TX!!!!

Fall Break finally arrived!!!! I had been counting down the days for weeks since I arrived, and when it did I was more excited than ever. While it flew by WAY too fast, I still so happy I could come home and visit. Mom looked GREAT-which was so encouraging. My dad and I played our favorite Double Solitaire game numerous times, we went to Matt's El Rancho for lunch on Saturday (my first time there ever...crazy to say as I've lived in Texas all my life!), The Oasis for lunch on Sunday, Yogurt Planet on Sunday afternoon, saw my friend Kendall for a bit, went with my parents to Starbucks for coffee twice, saw Nana for an hour on Sunday afternoon, watched several good movies with my parents at night, and had my three favorite meals prepared for each dinner (Salmon, asparagus and couscous on Saturday; Vegetarian Lasanga and fruit on Sunday; King Ranch Chicken and fruit on Monday. Absolutely the best three meals I've had in the longest time! :) Thanks Mom. Here are some pictures I took throughout the weekend- most from The Oasis!
